“Bon Jour & Aloha, my friends! 

Ya'll know, some of the best things in life are those simple moments we enjoy, right here close to home with Family & Friends in the unincorporated area known as Altoga TX. My family & I are attempting to create – a spot (soon) where folks can slow down, say hi, and enjoy a taste of something special together...or All Together as Dock Ownsby would say. 

I have yet to meet someone born or raised right here in Altoga, but I imagine there are a few folks out here, and I can't wait to meet you. For everyone else though we all come from other parts of the world or country and bring our life experiences, styles and tastes with us. Well, we want to share the experience of an authentic Liege Waffle with you. I was a military brat who went to Brussels American High School and joined the US Army from Sierra Vista AZ for the career & excitement of travel back to Belgium and Europe once again. The First EPIK thing I will be sharing from our travels took close to 40 years to get exactly the way it tastes in Belgium, it is our authentic Liege Waffles. 

EP!K Bites will be more than just a place to order Liege waffles delivered to your door. It will eventually be a place to grab other staple comfort foods from around the world. One day soon we plan on having a stand/truck/spot to grab some of the most epic quick foods from all over the world, until then.... we will be under the Cottage Industry rules making food our way in our home kitchen, with our family and providing to anyone within 5 miles of Altoga. It’s our way of building a community, one waffle at a time. And if you know anything about me, you know I don’t do things halfway. The military taught me to go all in or why bother. My time traveling the world taught me to savor the details – every laugh, every story, every bite...and now every waffle.

You can find us here online, at select Farmers Markets and Catering for special events all over North Texas. We have to build this from the ground up so the foundation is sturdy...who would build a roof before the foundation right? SO we start right here with our flagship product the Liege waffle. Soon I will reach out to you, requesting your input on variety, flavors, toppings and maybe even the naming of signature items.

And I’m here to share a bit of that good spirit I have found in Texas, with every Liège waffle made fresh just for you, right here at home by hand with the finest sourced Belgian Flour & Pearlized sugar. So, pull up a chair or grab a waffle for those epic commutes to school, work or play, and let’s enjoy this moment together.”
